A moment in the French Quarter

Oh. My. Goodness. Did you take that photo? I didn't know you had THAT in you! It is breathtaking.

And sadly not just because of the colors and angle. I immediately thought it was an "old" picture of the floods but then remembered the Quarter didn't flood.

It reminds me of the first time I saw a plane fly behind the John Hancock Tower after 9/11. I thought the wind was knocked out of me.

Ah. Ah. Ah. AWE.
Beautiful shot Ambassador! I love water shots and the way the color plays in the reflection.
Well done. No, Wow.

After one of our few heavy rains Post-Katrina, I just struck out with camera in hand - not expecting anything but hoping. There was no trace of a breeze, making the reflection possible. This is one of my favorites, but there are others to follow...which reminds me, A - I owe you a real album of actual printed photos, right?

A--

And what do you mean, you didn't think I had it in me????? Just because I am not as prolific as you, my dear... :-)

Hi! Thanks for visiting me! It is a small world, huh? My husband is actually stationed at Drum, but we live here because it is closer to Potsdam, where I grew up! I would so much rather be in the French Quarter, however!

The Quarter didn't flood and it never rains in Southern California?

Nice picture. :)

(I deleted my other comment because I wasn't paying attention and put the wrong info in). What I said before hitting the publish button too hastily was:

Wow, you captured the reflection perfectly. It is so still.
