Voting Day
everything silhouetted against the sunrise.
We biked the 8 blocks to our polling place,
reviewed the ballot one last time and then
took our place in line to vote.
It took 28 minutes.
I wish everyone could have that kind of
swift democratic experience today.
For those who don't, be patient.
This election is absurdly important.
So, don't get frustrated and walk away.
This is Your Right to Vote.
And no one can take that away from you.
Oh, and if you don't vote,
you don't get to bitch later.
Coincidentally, our polling place -
a local elementary charter school -
had a Rene Magritte quote on the wall:
“Art evokes the mystery without
which the world would not exist.”

Yeah! Democracy went smoothly. I'm so glad for you. You needed something to go smoothly.
I'll know pretty early in the evening how Question 1 does in my fair state but waiting for the presidential outcome is going to just kill me.
Let's hope. Let us have hope.
I was out in under 5 minutes. I just wish the results were in already!
i voted, of course, and am celebrating tonight!
It was about an hour for me, but that was because I got there 45 minutes before the polls opened.
And... GOBAMA!!!
